The Harder They Fall – the upcoming western from Netflix – is the latest production to be hit with a second Covid shutdown.

The Idris Elba-headlined upcoming Netflix western, The Harder They Fall, has temporarily paused production due to a confirmed Covid case. This marks the second time the film has gone into shutdown following its original suspension in March, as the world went into lockdown.

The film, also starring Regina King and Delroy Lindo, is a revenge tale about a man who finds out that his parents’ killer has been released from jail and thus forms a group to go and serve him justice. As this is Idris Elba, we’d imagine that justice will come in the form of moody stares and action sequences, all of a highly entertaining nature.

No word on when filming is expected to resume, although Deadline does report that second unit work is most likely ongoing.

More news on The Harder They Fall as it transpires but with a great cast and They Die by Dawn director, Jeymes Samuel helming, it should be worth waiting for. Expect the movie next year.
