Michael B Jordan looks set to step into the ring for a third time.

After the success of the Creed sequel, or Rocky 4 II as we like to call it, there was a quick success of news about a third movie. Michael B Jordan would be returning as Adonis Creed, of course, although this time he’d be offered the opportunity to direct the film.

Sylvester Stallone, meanwhile, has said that he’s done playing Rocky Balboa in the Creed movies, although he’s separately held the door open for a Rocky VII.

And then things went quiet for a year or so.

Now, though, the accelerator has been pressed, with the news that a fresh writer is coming aboard the next Creed film. Zach Baylin, who’s written the upcoming Will Smith movie King Richard, will be penning whatever Creed III ends up being called. Creed III would be our bet.

Michael B Jordan is a busy man though, so quite where this one falls on his docket remains to be seen. But at the very least, it sounds like an active project for the moment. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more about it.
