Catch the trailer for Crisis, an interlocking tale of three players caught up in the US opioid epidemic, set to release in the UK in March.

Crisis is an upcoming drama that looks to explore the US opioid epidemic that has swept the country, telling the story from the vantage point of three different characters. Thought to be caused originally by doctors over-prescribing opioids, addiction to the drug in America has shot up, as have deaths.

Crisis looks set to explore the stories behind this epidemic, showing the perspectives of a drug trafficker arranging a smuggling operation, a university professor who has to come to terms with the true nature of his pharmaceutical employers, and a recovering addict’s search for her son.

The cast for the film is certainly impressive, with Gary Oldman, Evangeline Lilly, Armie Hammer, Greg Kinnear, Michelle Rodriguez, Luke Evans, Lily-Rose Depp and Scott Mescudi all appearing.

The film launches in February in the US, but we have to wait until March 26th to see it here in the UK, although that is presently marked as a ‘cinema release’, rather than VoD, so it could yet change.

In the meantime, you can catch the trailer below.
