Criterion Collection confirms April’s UK releases

Three more Blu-ray releases join The Criterion Collection in April in the UK: details of the new additions here.

The Criterion Collection of deluxe special edition Blu-ray releases in the UK adds three more titles this coming April, and now we know what they are.

First up, on April 4th comes In Cold Blood, the film based on Truman Capote’s book. This is the 1967 movie, written and directed by Richard Brooks. Robert Blake and Scott Wilson start, and the disc comes with new interviews, archive material and an essay too. You can order it here.

1997’s Love Jones meanwhile comes from writer/director Theodore Witcher, and it stars Larenz Tate and Nia Long. Again, you get new interviews with this one, a panel discussion and an essay, on top of a digital restoration of the film. It lands on April 25th You can order that one here.

Also on April 25th is the final of the month’s titles, Make Way For Tomorrow. Dating back to 1937, this is from Leo McCarey and stars Beulah Bondi and Victor Moore. A classic tearjerker, the film comes with interviews and a booklet.
