For once, you’re going to be allowed to use your phones in the cinema, thanks to a new interactive gaming event.
YouTube star DanTDM is to bring his interactive gaming show to British cinemas, it’s been announced. This follows a UK arena tour that was deemed to be really rather successful.
This very weekend then you can head to the cinema for DanTDM Presents The Contest. It’s described as an ‘interactive gaming experience’, that will split the audience up into tribes. You’ll be encouraged to dress up in the colours of your tribe, and will see backstories as part of the event. Audience members will be allowed to use their phones in the cinema too: in fact, if they want to play along with the games on screen, they’ll have to.

The event runs this weekend (2nd and 3rd of November), in the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand.
