David Bautista adds yet another franchise to his ever-growing collection, as he joins the new Knives Out movie.

Netflix certainly raised a few eyebrows at the beginning of April when it announced it was stumping up a whopping $400m to acquire two sequels to Rian Johnson’s critically beloved Knives Out, the director’s homage to the sleuth movie. The film was fun for a host of reasons, not least because of its impressive ensemble cast. And that looks set to continue with the follow-up.

The first casting announcement has been made for the planned sequel and it seems that Dave Bautista will be one of several stars performing opposite Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc.

This of course will reunite the pair following their punishing face-off in the 007 adventure, Spectre.

We reported only yesterday on Bautista discussing the difficult decision to turn down a part in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad to instead work with Zack Snyder in Army of the Dead. Now it seems the former professional wrestler may have two giant Netflix franchises on his hands, as well as roles in at least two upcoming Marvel films, Thor: Love And Thunder and Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3.

The sequel to Knives Out is expected to shoot in Greece this summer. We’ll bring you more casting news as we hear it.
