Beast co-star Johnny Flynn is to headline a biopic of David Bowie. Details here.
The story of David Bowie is being brought to the big screen at last, at least in part. Stardust will tell the story of a young Bowie, with Johnny Flynn (Beast) cast in the lead role.
Opposite Flynn in the movie will be Jena Malone, and Marc Maron has also signed up for the movie, to play Bowie’s publicist.

The movie is to be directed by Gabriel Range, and he’s working from a screenplay that’s been put together by Christopher Bell. Salon Pictures is backing the project, and the plan is to start filming this summer. The bulk of production is expected to take place in the US.
Our best guess would be that a 2020 release is on the cards. We’ll keep you posted…
