David O Russell’s return to directing has attracted a cast of over a dozen high profile actors – details right this way.

We don’t yet know much about David O Russell’s next film, and in particular what it’s actually about. The director hasn’t helmed a movie since 2015’s Joy, following a highly impressive couple of years where he released a string of films including The Fighter, Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle.

Now, Russell has the wheels turning on a new project, and although the details have been largely kept under wraps, Deadline has broken some casting news, and well, it seems that there’s no shortage of actors wanting to work with Russell.

Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek and Zoe Saldana were already signed up to the project, and they’ve now been joined by Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts and Alessandro Nivola.

That’s certainly a lot of talent for one film.

Shooting has begun on the film in California. The project is based on an original idea by Russell himself. We’ll bring you more news on this one as we hear it.
