Dev Patel is next set to play a medieval knight.
The terrific and ever-industrious Dev Patel is in talks to take the lead in the film Green Knight, the latest movie from director David Lowery (A Ghost Story, Pete’s Dragon).
The film is a retelling of the medieval story Sir Gawain And The Green Knight, and Patel – assuming he signs on the dotted line – would be playing Sir Gawain. He’s the knight charged with beheading the Green Knight, where he then has to wait one year and one day to get a blow in return.
Lowery will start filming next month, with A24 putting up the funds for the project. Further casting has not yet been announced.
