Filming is underway on Ghosted, Dexter Fletcher’s first film as director since 2019’s Rocketman: more details here.

He’s been linked with the Renfield film that’s currently shooting with Nicolas Cage in its cast. He’s been linked too with directing Sherlock Holmes 3. But since his success with Rocketman – which came hot on the heels of his late addition to Bohemian Rhapsody – Dexter Fletcher hasn’t directed another feature. But that’s about to change.

He’s made his pick, and he’s going to helm a film called Ghosted, which is being set up at Skydance and Apple. It’s said to be a romantic action adventure movie, from the brains of writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (who have Zombieland and Deadpool to their name of course). And the cast is led by Chris Evans, Ana de Armas and Adrien Brody.

Joining them in the ensemble are Tim Black Nelson, Amy Sedaris, Mike Moh and Tate Donovan, and this looks like being the next movie for all concerned. Filming is already underway.

More on it as we hear it. For our money, every Dexter Fletcher-directed film to date is very much worth seeking out. Here’s hoping he keeps his terrific run going.
