Disney’s Hercules is next to get the live action remake treatment, with the writer of The Expendables on board to pen the screenplay.

It’s business as usual where Disney’s plans to raid its animated catalogue of movies is concerned. And the next up on the list if 1997’s Hercules, a move that we covered in a previous podcast episode right here…

Dave Callaham has been hired by Disney to pen a script for the new film. He’s previously penned The Expendables and the upcoming Marvel flick Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings. No idea as of yet who’ll be directing, but it is known that Joe Russo and Anthony Russo are set to produce the movie for the studio.

Likewise, a little too early for casting news too. Just that at the moment, the film is in development, and more news will follow in due course.
