Disney will be bringing The Clone Wars to an end on Star Wars days, and launching a Mandalorian companion series on Disney+.

The impending arrival of May 4th brings with it the world’s annual Star Wars day, 24 hours in which the pun ‘may the fourth be with you’ is rarely resisted.

It’s the first time that the Disney+ streaming service gets to celebrate the occasion, and it’s been confirmed just how it intends to mark it.

Firstly, it’s premiering Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. This is a new eight episode documentary that goes through how the eight episode television series was made in the first place. New episodes of the making-of show will then be released each Friday ongoing.

Also on May 4th, Disney has confirmed that the series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars will air. This brings the acclaimed show to an end after seven seasons. The episode will premiere on the same day in the UK as it is doing in the US.

No further news yet on what else Disney will be adding to the Disney+ service in the UK in May, but we’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
