A director’s cut of Doctor Sleep will arrive with the film’s disc release.

Whilst the UK disc release hasn’t yet been announced, in the States director Mike Flanagan’s take on Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep is due at the start of February (and on digital download in January).

As part of that release, a full director’s cut of Doctor Sleep is on the way, with Flanagan announcing via his social media channel that another half hour or so is being added to the film, taking the running time up to 180 minutes.

It sounds like it’s going to be quite a feature-packed release too, with featurettes and extra footage on top of the director’s cut in there too. Whilst we await formal confirmation of the UK release, here’s the announcement from the US, courtesy of Flanagan…
