Doctor Sleep is heading to disc in the UK in March, and it’s been confirmed we’re getting the director’s cut too.

In what promises to be a strong disc release for fans of the film, we’ve learned that Mike Flanagan’s Doctor Sleep movie, based on the novel by Stephen King, will be landed on DVD, Blu-ray and Ultra HD 4K in the UK from March 9th. The digital download will be available on February 24th.

The film may not have made the hoped-for dent at the box office, which has taken with it chances of a sequel/spin-off film, but it earned good notices. And for those who wanted more, you’re in luck as director Mike Flanagan has prepared an extended three hour director’s cut of the movie.

That director’s cut is now confirmed to be on the disc release in the UK too. And the full list of extra features reads – albeit for the Blu-ray and 4K release only – reads:

  • Return to the Overlook
  • The Making of Doctor Sleep: A New Vision
  • From Shining to Sleep

The movie is up for preorder now, and gradually online etailers are adding its release date. You can find a copy right here. And we’ll leave you with the box art…
