The legendary Dolph Lundgren is back to doing what he does best, as he’s cast alongside Luke Wilson in action film Best Man.

Saban films has acquired the worldwide rights to indie action film Best Man, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie is set to star Dolph Lundgren alongside Luke Wilson and Scout Taylor-Compton.

Directed by Shane Dax Taylor from a script by C. Alec Rossel, Best Man is set on a remote resort island where a wedding is ruined by mercenaries taking over the property. This leads to the groom, the best man, and their best friend to have to defeat their adversaries and save some hostages. I imagine that’s where Dolph Lundgren probably comes in. The production companies involved in the movie include BondIt Media Capital and Archstone Entertainment.

It sounds like ridiculous fun, and it’s likely to be with us sometime next year considering it’s already started filming. There’s no sign of an official release date yet, though.

Lundgren is of course a fine choice to go to for an action film, having made a name for himself in classics like Rocky IV. More recently, he’s appeared in an eclectic mix of blockbuster movies. He’s been in Aquaman and Creed II, and is lending his voice to the upcoming Illumination animated film Minions 2: The Rise Of Gru.

As for Luke Wilson, he’s previously had roles in the likes of Zombieland: Double Tap, and is set to appear in Netflix series Plus/Minus.

Best Man sounds like some good, lighthearted fun to look forward to. We’ll bring you more news on the film as we hear it.
