If you’re waiting for Downton Abbey: A New Era, then you’re going to have to wait a little longer, as its release is put back for a second time.

Well, it looks like we’re not out of the woods when it comes to Covid-related delays to movies just yet. Earlier this week, the next two Mission: Impossible films were put back for a fifth time, with a further ten month delay to those. Now, the already-finished Downton Abbey: A New Era finds itself put back for a second time.

Originally, this was due to be with us last Christmas. Then it got moved to a March 2022 release. Now, the new film has a release date of April 29th in the UK, and it’ll landed three weeks after that in the US. That, in theory, should be a release date that sticks for the film, in a story that’s seeing the Downton gang head off to the south of France.

Rest assured all of these release date delays are absolute bliss for those trying to put movie magazines together too. More on Downton Abbey 2: Electric Boogaloo as we hear it.
