Edgar Wright’s new movie, Last Night In Soho, has been put back to next year it’s been revealed.

The obvious problem – amongst the many other problems – with so many movies being delayed as a result of the current cinema shutdown is that those films are taking slots in many cases towards the end of this year. As such, the autumn release schedule is suddenly looking very cluttered, and the films that were already set for release around then are facing some stiff competition.

The knock-on, then, is that some of those films are moving to next year to buy themselves a bit of room. Whether that was the case with Edgar Wright’s eagerly-awaited new movie or not, the bottom line is that Last Night In Soho has now been pushed into 2021.

The move was revealed in the US first, with the movie losing its September slot in the States and being pushed to a vague 2021 opening. Checking the UK release list too, and the film has been taken off over here too, again with no new date announced.

We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
