Edgar Wright’s new movie, that had been due in cinemas in September, and the UK release date is confirmed for April 2021.

Following the news last week that Edgar Wright’s new movie was now no longer going to be release this coming September, a new date – in the US at least – has quickly been secured.

The film has now been set for release in the US on April 23rd 2021. And we now have word that the UK release date will be on the same date too. Universal Pictures has added it to its UK release calendar for the 23rd.

Wright originally announced the US release date news via his Twitter feed, where he added that the film is yet to be completed as a consequence of the Coronavirus lockdown. And he released a new picture from the movie, featuring Anya Taylor-Joy and Matt Smith.

It’s the picture at the top of this piece, and also you can see Wright’s Tweet below…

The movie has been penned by Wright and Krysty Wilson-Cairns, with a cast that also includes Thomasin McKenzie, Diana Rigg and Terence Stamp amongst its extensive ensemble.

More on the movie as we hear it.
