From the pen of Katy Brand comes a fabulously rude sounding new comedy starring Emma Thompson – more details here.

Emma Thompson is set to star in what sounds like a terrific comedy helmed by Sophie Hyde, the director of the rather underrated Animals. The film, entitled Good Luck To You, Leo Grande is produced by Genesius Pictures and written by brilliant British comedian Katy Brand.

Centred around Thompson’s character, the 55-year old, widowed Nancy Stokes, the film follows her exploits to find good company, a human connection and some wonderful sex. Something absent from her stable but stale long-term marriage. To bring this plan to fruition, Stokes enlists the services of sex worker/therapist Leo Grande for a night of bliss.

No release date as yet, but filming is expected to take place in early 2021. No word either as to who might play the amazingly-named, titular 20-something Leo Grande, as yet. Thompson has most recently wrapped up work on the Disney prequel Cruella.

More news on this one as we have it.
