Escape To Victory finally gets a Blu-ray release in the UK, courtesy of the HMV Premium Collection line of discs.
A sure sign that a major football tournament is on the way is a fresh release for arguably the finest depiction of the sport on screen to date: Escape To Victory.
Starring Sylvester Stallone, Michael Caine, and a good chunk of Ipswich Town’s team from the early 1980s, the prisoner of war crossed with a sports movie feature hasn’t previously enjoyed a Blu-ray release in the UK (and at most, it’s had a limited Warner Archive release in the US on the format). Now, HMV has confirmed that it’ll be adding the film to its Premium Collection line of discs.
It’s released on June 7th, and whilst there aren’t extra features on the disc to our knowledge, the package does come with a quartet of art cards.
