The full trailer has been released for the third film in the Harry Potter spin-off series. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore.

This April will see the launch of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore, the third film set to release in a planned five series that continues to explore the backstory of some of the more enigmatic characters and wizard history  from the Harry Potter stories.

As it stands, we can’t think of too many blockbuster releases planned for this year with more riding on them than this one. All sorts of highly-publicised controversies behind the scenes, not to mention a limp critical and commercial reception to the last film, The Crimes Of Grindelwald, mean that the future of the franchise is in some doubt, despite Warner Bros having already named release dates for the fourth and fifth installments.

Those dates surely won’t hold, as The Secrets Of Dumbledore's six month delay will have affected them, but whether those films even make it into production will depend largely on The Secrets Of Dumbledore performing significantly better than its predecessor.

You can catch the trailer below, ahead of the film’s release on April 15th, 2022.

And here’s the previous trailer, from December 2021…

Finally, here’s the official synopsis:

Set in the 1930s, the story leads up to the Wizarding World’s involvement in World War II and will explore the magical communities in Bhutan, Germany and China in addition to previously established locations including Brazil, the United States and United Kingdom. With Grindelwald’s power rapidly growing, Albus Dumbledore entrusts Newt Scamander and his friends on a mission that will lead to a clash with Grindelwald’s army, and will lead Dumbledore to ponder how long he will stay on the sidelines in the approaching war.
