Fast & Furious 10 could now be a two-parter

Fast & Furious 10 will not, as previously suggested, be marking the end of the Fast & Furious saga.

At the end of last week, the first trailer landed for this summer’s Fast & Furious 9, a film we’re going to go confidently out on a limb and suggest will be a very big hit. Vin Diesel is leading the extensive ensemble for the movie, with Justin Lin directing (back for his fifth movie in the series).

There had been talk at one stage that Fast & Furious 10 would mark the end of the series, and the film is set to follow hot on the heels of this one. But in a new interview, Diesel has now thrown in a little bit of a cheat there, and suggested that the tenth film could now be split into too. Another way, really, of saying there is now a plan for an eleventh movie in the main line of films.

As he told GamesRadar, “I started planning for Fast 10 before we started filming Fast 9. Very much so. The universe is so robust and so rich with talent and rich with story that, on one level, it’s totally feasible to have spinoffs, and I think that’s something that is inevitable”.

And then he added that “for the fans, should Fast 10 parts one and two be the conclusion, it would be nice for this world to continue for generations to come”.

More as we hear it.
