Set bunnies to boil: Fatal Attraction is getting a 4K disc release in the UK – more information on the release here.

Here’s a title we didn’t expected to be getting a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray upgrade. The 1987 thriller Fatal Attraction was a huge box office hit on its initial release, and since then it’s remained popular, not least for the conversation over its ending. The movie – which stars Glenn Close and Michael Douglas – infamously went out with a test audience-chosen ending that makes very little sense. Many years later, the original ending surfaced. And it all adds to the story behind the movie.

Anyway, the film has been chosen for 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release, and Paramount has lined it up for September 12th in the UK. There are two different versions arriving, although each includes the 4K disc and a Blu-ray (bringing over previous extra features).

There’s the expensive way forward here, a collector’s edition pack with cards, goodies and a posh packaging. Or there’s the standard release, going for a more economic price, that comes with the film and extras, but not the extra hoo-hah.

Both are up for preorder now.
