An acclaimed short British film with a mental health message is on its way to becoming a full-length feature film, it’s been announced.

Filmmaker Ella Greenwood, even though she’s still in her teens, already has a successful short film behind her. Faulty Roots is a short that looks to promote mental health awareness for the young, with Greenwood using her own experiences and putting them into her work.

Now comes the news that Greenwood is to developing the movie into a full length feature, with investors already showing interest in the project too. It’s early days for the project, not least given current circumstances.

“I wanted to give people a better understanding of certain things that you experience as a teen with a mental health problem”, Greenwood said. “And I’m looking forward to getting to expand on this with a feature version of the film”

Here’s the trailer for the short film…
