The latest issue of the world’s only print film magazine for young film fans – that’s also written by them – is now up for preorder.

I’m delighted to introduce the new issue of Film Stories Junior, a magazine of which we’re hugely proud.

BUY THE NEW ISSUE!

Get the latest Film Stories Junior, and subscribe to the magazine, at store.filmstories.co.uk

It’s a 52 page print magazine aimed at younger film fans (around 7 to 14 years old), and it’s also mainly written by them too.

This time, we’ve had even more young reporters interviewing people involved in films, from the stars of the new The Secret Garden and Max Winslow movies, through to the people at the BBFC who give films their certificates!

We sell this magazine via subscription and mail order, and with this issue, we’re introducing a new gift subscription too. If there’s a young film fan in your life you want to give the gift of reading and the movies to, then our gift pack includes a welcome letter, the new issue, a further surprise back issue from our archives, and the next four editions of the magazine. Perfect for Christmas!

You can find the offer here.

As for the new issue? Well, let’s start with the cover, and then we’ll tell you more of what’s in it…

And inside? From our young writers we have…

  • Dixie Egerickx chats to our young reporters about the new The Secret Garden movie
  • The star of the new family adventure Max Winslow has been chatting to another of our brilliant young writers
  • How to make your own Marvel-themed movie snacks
  • Schools in the movies
  • How one young reporter made their own movie in lockdown
  • Homages in films
  • The changing colour of movie villain costumes
  • A young actor tells us how things have changed for him this year

Plus from industry professionals and ourselves:

  • A look at what films are still coming up
  • How to act for the screen
  • What you need to make your own film

And so much more!

The magazine is aimed at film fans aged 7-14, and the films covered within it are certificates U, PG and 12A. You can find our online store here, or buttons to buy the magazine should magically appear below these words.

Oh, and we’re on the lookout now for writers for our next issue, that’s due in February 2021. Our email address is junior at filmstories co uk!
