Rebecca is in the can, and filming wraps on Ben Wheatley’s new film.

Over the last few weeks, production has been going on Ben Wheatley’s adaptation of Daphne De Maurier’s gothic story Rebecca. The novel was previously adapted for the screen by Alfred Hitchcock, of course, and Wheatley’s take on the material has been adapted by screenwriter Jane Goldman.

Filming began at the start of Jane, with the cast including Armie Hammer, Lily James, Kristin Scott Thomas, Keeley Hawes, Ann Down, Sam Riely and Ben Crompton.

The movie has been shot by cinematographer Laurie Rose, and courtesy of his Twitter account, we learn that production has wrapped on the movie. Here’s Rose’s Tweet, breaking the news.

In terms of when we can expect to see the film, Netflix is funding the movie and has distribution rights to it. The streaming giant hasn’t yet announced an expected date for it, but we’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
