The 2001 animated film Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within has had a 4K upgrade, and will be heading to the UK on 4K disc in November.
More and more catalogue 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray releases are heading our way this side of Christmas, and Sony has just added another one. The hugely ambitious animated feature Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within is set to arrive on the format in the UK this November.
November 22nd, to be precise, and as is the norm it’ll come with a 4K disc and Blu-ray in the package. The extensive special features will be as they were, and included on the aforementioned Blu-ray.
I remember when this one came out, made for a sizeable budget and not really catching fire at the box office. Its animation though looked particularly distinct at the time for a movie, and you can find out how the 4K upgrade fares shortly.
