The big screen debit of John Rambo is getting a fresh cinema release at the end of this month: more details on First Blood’s reissue here.

Whilst the character of John Rambo thinned out across the course of the movie boxset, the original movie appearance of him was really quite different. Played by Sylvester Stallone of course, in one of his most famous roles, First Blood is a darker, more interesting film than it may first appear.

It’s a terrific movie too, and it’s thus good to see that it’s the latest to be granted a fresh outing in cinemas. It’s only a couple of weeks away, too: First Blood is getting its re-release on June 24th, where it’ll be playing opposite Elvis. There’s a double bill.

The film is heading to over 100 screens around the UK, and booking should be opening up shortly, if it hasn’t already. A rare chance to see the movie on a cinema screen, this. And if you haven’t had the pleasure, it’s one of Stallone’s very best films.
