Tom Holland takes the lead role in Cherry, the first film post-Avengers Endgame to be directed by the Russo brothers.

Cherry, the upcoming drama set to release on March on AppleTV+, reunites star Tom Holland with Avengers directors – the Russo brothers – in a tale of addiction and violence.

Based upon a novel about ‘an Army medic with PTSD who becomes addicted to opioids and starts robbing banks to pay for the addiction,’ Cherry was optioned by AGBO, the Russo’s production company back in 2018, beating other offers from Sony and Warner Bros, who had planned to have James Franco direct.

Apple is  giving the film are short theatrical run on February 26th in the US at least, before it appears on is AppleTV+ platform on March 12th. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer below.
