The GI Joe spin-off film Snake Eyes has launched a typically action-packed trailer featuring lots of fisticuffs.
Paramount has launched the trailer for Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins, the continuation of their GI Joe action franchise. As one of the most popular characters in the GI Joe franchise, Snake Eyes, the masked and mute ninja, is the lead character as the movie looks set to explore his past in Japan.
Henry Golding plays the title character, replacing Ray Park who portrayed Snake Eyes in the two GI Joe films thus far.
The film, which shot in Vancouver and Japan throughout 2019 and 2020, is reportedly already getting a follow-up, with Paramount seemingly keen to continue leveraging the GI Joe franchise. The film arrives in the US on July 23rd, and we get it in the UK on August 20th.
You can check out the trailer below.
We’ll leave you with the synopsis for the film.
Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honour and allegiance will be tested – even if it means losing the trust of those closest to him.
