The upcoming Earwig And The Witch marks the legendary animation house’s first foray into CG animation but still contains all of its trademark charm.

Studio Ghibli has released the trailer for its first-ever GG-animated feature, Earwig And The Witch. The film is based on a children’s novel of the same name by author Diana Wynn Jones.

The tale focuses on a clever orphan girl, the titular Earwig, who is adopted by a witch. Earwig is then sent to live in a haunted house.

The film is directed by Goro Miyazaki, the son of the legendary Hayao Miyazaki.
