Fisherman’s Friends 2 is now Fisherman’s Friends: One And All, and will be in UK cinemas in September 2022: more here.

The follow-up to 2019’s British hit Fisherman’s Friends looks like it’s finally made its way towards cinemas. The original – about a bunch of Cornish fishermen singing sea shanties, and becoming an unlikely chart success – was successful enough to quickly get a sequel ordered. But, as you might expect, a global pandemic got in the way.

However, after a couple of delays, the film did finally shoot, and it’s now in post-production. Meg Leonard and Nick Moorcroft write and direct, with Piers Ashworth also on writing duties. James Purefoy leads a cast that includes Ramon Tikaram, David Hayman, Maggie Steed and Jade Anouka.

Furthermore, we now have the title of the film too: it’s called Fisherman’s Friends: One And All, and it’s been scheduled for release on Friday 2nd September 2022. It had been scheduled for April 2022 most recently, but was pushed back, presumably to give it a clearer box office slot.

More on it as we hear it.
