The 40th birthday remaster of the much-loved sci-fi movie Flash Gordon is heading towards UK cinemas in July, it seems.
Well, here’s a nice surprise. Earlier this year, it had been announced that ahead of the upcoming Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray reissue of Flash Gordon for its 40th birthday, that the movie was going to head back into cinemas. Then, well, things happened, and the cinema release was abandoned. Instead, the new remastered version of the film was announced, and it’ll be with us on August 10th.
But! It now looks, for those willing to venture in that direction, that the film will be in cinemas after all. StudioCanal has added a July 31st release date for the movie to its schedule, and it’ll be available to UK cinemas to show from that day.
