Christopher Landon’s new horror film is getting a UK DVD release – but there’s no sign of a Blu-ray for it.

We had to wait an awfully long time in the end for the acclaimed Blumhouse-backed horror movie Freaky, the body-swap film from Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon. Originally due for the release at the end of last year, the movie – starring Kathryn Newton and Vince Vaughn – is finally now playing in UK cinemas.

Universal has wasted precious little time lining up the disc release of the movie, although in the UK at least, our options are going to be very limited. The film is currently set for just a DVD release, with no Blu-ray or 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray options on offer.

On the plus side, there does appear to be a good selection of extra features here. The listing that’s popped up currently offers:

  • Director’s commentary
  • Deleted scenes
  • Split personalities featurette
  • Millie vs the Butcher
  • Crafting the kills
  • Christopher Landon’s brand of horror
  • Final girl reframed

The disc is set for release on October 4th, and you can find out more here.
