New horror moviemaking talent is being sought, thanks to a new financing initiative.

A new initiative between Arrow Video FrightFest, Blue Finch Films and financiers Genera has seen the launch of a brand new film fund, with the aim of attracting new horror talent.

Going under the name Fresh Blood, the new initiative will help finance new genre short films, as it looks to uncover new voices and filmmaking talent.

Submissions for the new fund are open now, and run until 31st July. Projects need to be in the latter stages of development, and shortlisted finalists will be announced on 14th August. Then, at this year’s FrightFest at the end of August, those finalists will get to pitch their film to an industry panel, and the eventual winner will be confirmed then.

To apply, you need to head over to www.generafilms.com and look for the ‘Apply For Fresh Blood’ button. Best of luck!
