Gerard Butler is being called upon to sort of save the world again in the upcoming action movie Kandahar – more details here.
He’s set to arrive in cinemas this August in the new action movie Greenland, and Gerard Butler has already worked out how he’s going to saver the world next.
He’s signing up for the action movie Kandahar, in which he’ll play a CIA operative who’s working undercover in the Middle East. A CIA operative though who’s cover is then blown, his identity revealed, and his mission exposed. Thus, a bunch of elite special forces people with sizeable guns will chase him and try and kill him, whilst he has to get to the extraction point in Kandahar. Which might be easier said than done, I’d suggest.
The film will unite Butler with director Ric Roman Waugh, who helmed the aforementioned Greenland as well as Angel Has Fallen. Ric Roman Waugh also penned the script, with Mitchell LaFortune
No word yet on when filming on the movie will begin, or a release date. But we’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
