Ahead of French Exit’s planned February release, you can catch the trailer here – and the film promises a memorable performance from Michelle Pfieffer.

If you’re a fan of surreal comedy, Michelle Pfieffer and France, then you’re in luck. A new upcoming film from Sony – French Exit – combines all three into what looks like a very promising package.

The film revolves around Pfieffer’s charmingly passive-aggressive high-class character learning that her wealth is gone. She thus moves to Paris with her son, played by Lucas Hedges (who will soon be appearing alongside Meryl Streep in the upcoming Soderbergh film, Let Them All Talk) where she can live for free in a friend’s apartment.

Patrick DeWitt has penned the screenplay from his own novel and the film is directed by Azazel Jacobs, who helmed 2017’s The Lovers. Whilst the trailer has refrained from exhibiting some of the film’s more surreal moments, Pfieffer in particular looks to be in very fine form and we’d recommend you checking it out.

The film is planned to be with us here in the UK on February 26th, two weeks after its scheduled US release date. Until then, have a look at the trailer below.
