The Godzilla Vs Kong film won’t now be with us until next November.

Warner Bros has put back one of its 2020 blockbusters movies from the spring to the winter, with the news that Godzilla Vs Kong has moved back eight months in its schedule.

The movie had been set to open in March, but the film’s new US release date is now November 20th 2020. The UK release is set to follow suit too. It’s not a huge surprise, given not a shred of publicity had been released for the new film. Furthermore, this year’s Godzilla: King Of The Monsters wasn’t the huge success the studio was hoping for. Reviews for that movie were poor, even though the box office still came in at nearly $400m worldwide.

Godzilla Vs Kong is in post-production, with Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest) directing the movie. Alexander Skarsgard, Rebecca Hall, Elza Gonzalez and Kyle Chandler lead the cast of the new movie.

More on the film as we hear it. But it might be a while now before we hear anything else.
