Witness a preview of the upcoming clash of the titans, as the trailer for Godzilla Vs Kong has now landed.
Ever since we enjoyed the pulpy thrills of Kong: Skull Island back in 2017, we’ve been looking forward to seeing these two behemoths share a screen.
With the size of Godzilla and Kong, it feels like a cinema screen is needed, just to contain their sheer scale. But with a March release planned, it seems like we may be watching this one from the comfort of our homes. The story behind this ultimate showdown is something of a standoff itself. When distributor, Warner Bros, elected to move its entire 2021 theatrical slate over to a dual release in cinemas and on its HBO Max streaming platform, Legendary Entertainment, the film’s main financiers, was distinctly unimpressed and threatened legal action.
That matter is now believed to be settled (although the two parties’ dispute over the release strategy for Dune is said to still be a matter for further discussion) and Godzilla Vs Kong will debut in the US on March 26th. As for the UK, we will have to wait for further details but we’d imagine that a premium VOD release will arrive at the same time.

As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.’The film features Millie Bobby Brown and Kyle Chandler from King of Monsters, along with Alexander Skarsgård (The Stand), Rebecca Hall (Christine), Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta), Shun Oguri (Gintamai), Eiza González (Baby Driver), Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), and Demián Bichir (The Hateful Eight).
