Television mega-producer Greg Berlanti has set an exclusive first look feature film deal with Netflix.

Greg Berlanti and creative partner Sarah Schecter have signed up to an exclusive first look feature film deal with Netflix under their Berlanti/Schechter Films company.

Whilst Berlanti may not be the biggest name in the film world, under his Berlanti Productions company, he currently has 14 different television shows airing across various networks and has an overall deal with Warner Bros. Television.

Within the film sector, he’s responsible for Love, Simon which he directed as his second feature film after The Broken Hearts Club in 2000. With Schecter, he has been looking to create more features, already signing up to a 4 picture deal with HBO Max when it was first announced, the first of which was abortion road trip Unpregnant (UK release date still unannounced, unfortunately) as well as producing upcoming Free Guy and many other films in various stages of production.

This deal continues Netflix’s trend of partnering with some of the most successful talent in Hollywood, having already worked with him on his shows You and The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina.
