Tom Hanks writes and stars in Greyhound – and the latest trailer for the film has landed.

Fresh off the back of his Oscar-nominated turn in A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood comes Tom Hanks’ latest project – and this time he’s written the script too.

The new film is called Greyhound, and it’s an adaptation of the book the Good Shepherd, by C S Forester. Aaron Schneider has helmed the film, that also stars Stephen Graham, Elisabeth Shue and Karl Glusman.

The international trailer for the movie has just landed, and we’ve got that for you here, following by the official synopsis for the movie as well.

Here’s the original trailer…

And the synopsis reads…

In the early days of WWII, an international convoy of 37 Allied ships, led by captain Ernest Krause (Tom Hanks) in his first command of a U.S. destroyer, crosses the treacherous North Atlantic while hotly pursued by wolf packs of Nazi U-boats.

The movie is scheduled for release in the UK on June 26th, with Father’s Day previews inked in for June 21st.
