Henry Golding signs on to Netflix’s Persuasion adaptation, starring Dakota Johnson.
Henry Golding (Monsoon) is the latest to sign up to the new Persuasion adaptation. The actor will be starring opposite Dakota Johnson, who was announced as the lead in the project last month.
Golding will be playing William Elliot, a cold and calculating foil to Johnson’s Anne. It’ll be an opportunity for Golding to play against type, his most recent romantic films have all had him front and centre as the reliable dreamboat.
The film will be distributed by Netflix and is the debut feature from acclaimed theatre director Carrie Cracknell. More on casting as we hear it.
