British producer Damian Jones is working on bringing One Man, Two Guvnors to the screen – as well as a Sleeping With The Enemy remake.

British producer Damian Jones has renewed his deal with Fox Searchlight pictures, and as part of that, two new projects from his slate have come to light.

The first is a movie take on the huge stage hit, One Man, Two Guvnors. The play was a massive success, first in London’s West End and then on Broadway, back at the start of the decade. James Corden took the lead role of Francis Henshall in the original production, although it’s unclear as to whether he’ll be reprising the role for the film version.

The movie is being written by Oli Refson. The show’s creator, Richard Bean, and its stage director, Nicholas Hytner, are both involved in the movie too.

Damian Jones is also looking to get a remake of the Julia Roberts hit Sleeping With The Enemy up and running. Based on Nancy Price’s 1987 book, Nia DaCosta has been hired to write and direct the new movie. It’ll be a modern version of the same story.

More on both projects as we hear it.
