The film of Caitlin Moran’s How To Be A Girl is debuting in September.

The screen adaptation of Caitlin Moran’s novel How To Build A Girl wrapped up filming earlier this year, under the eye of director Coky Giedroyc. Moran adapted the novel for the screen herself, and the cast features Beanie Feldstein, Alfie Allen, Paddy Considine, Sarah Solemani, Chris O’Dowd and Emma Thompson.

Lionsgate has the distribution rights to the movie in the UK, and we await details of when it’ll be releasing the movie. But we do now know when the film will be premiering. It’s hitting the festival circuit, and has been selected for a gala screening at the Toronto International Film Festival, that’s taking place from September 5th to the 15th.

Once the premiere is done, don’t be surprised if the film becomes part of the London Film Festival line-up in October, and expect details of its wide UK release in relatively due course.

More on the movie as we hear it.
