A three CD set of the Howard The Duck soundtrack is on the way.

I’ve always enjoyed the notorious George Lucas-backed 1986 flop Howard The Duck, to the point where I recorded a Film Stories podcast on the movie last year (you can listen to that here). And I’m not alone in my affection for it, as the recent special edition Blu-ray release demonstrated.

Now comes another treat for fans of the film, though: an expanded version of the movie’s soundtrack.

It’s been announced by Intrada Records, as a three-CD set. The score from John Barry will be included in its entirety, as well as additional music by Sylvester Levay, and songs by Thomas Dolby. Here’s the cover art…

With thanks to Film Music Reporter for the heads up, you can find the set for pre-order here.
