A documentary following the extraordinary story of Greta Thunberg is heading into UK cinemas this coming October – more details here.

From director Nathan Grossman and producers Cecilia Nessen and Fredik Heinig comes I Am Greta, a brand new documentary about teenage environmental activist Greta Thunberg.

The documentary will be telling her story, with plenty of footage that’s never seen the light of day before. It’ll start with her one-person school strike outside the Swedish Parliament, and from there will tell the story of how that protest spread, and how Thunberg’s profile grew from that point. The film will then end with her wind-powered journey across the Atlantic Ocean, ahead of her speaking at New York’s UN Climate Action Summit.

The film will get its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival at the start of September, and it’ll then head to the UK on October 16th 2020. Expect to hear more on the film before then…
