The spy thriller Bang! is an adaptation of the comic book series of the same name – and Idris Elba is to star in the movie.
Fresh off the release of Bullet Train, director David Leitch’s next film has been confirmed.
Bang! is described a thriller in which a group of terrorists attempt to bring about the apocalypse via a series of novels which brainwash their readers. The world’s most celebrated spy is sent to infiltrate the gang and take them down.
Idris Elba will headline the film as the spy, with other cast members yet to be confirmed.
David Leitch will direct from a screenplay by Matt Kindt and Zak Olkewicz, based on the comic book series by Kindt and Wilfredo Torres.
It is set to begin production soon. Elba will next be seen in the film version of his hit BBC series Luther, written by creator Neil Cross and directed by Jamie Payne. It will be released via Netflix later this year.
