It looks as if Zavvi has bought Arrow

The Hut group – owner of Zavvi – has been shopping itself, with the brilliant Arrow Films in its basket.

It looks like the brilliant Arrow Films has a new owner, with reports that The Hut.com Ltd, the owner of the Zavvi online store, has bought the company up.

We first saw the news over at The Digital Bits, which picked up the documentation of sale at Companies House. Thanks too to the readers who got in touch and pointed us in the direction of this as well.

The documentation notes that as of March 4th 2021, The Hut.com Limited was listed as a ‘person with significant control’ over Arrow, and the company’s registered office has also changed. If you read the listing, you can see the change in personnel for the company as well.

No official announcement has thus far been made, and it’s hard to see this having any impact on Arrow going forward. Its run of excellent releases is set to continue, and hopefully this all gives it a grounding to expand its operations too.

More as we hear it. The documentation can be found here.
