The cast for Nicolas Cage’s Dracula movie continues to grow, with the film currently before the cameras.

Renfield, the upcoming film directed by Chris McKay, is set to star Nicolas Cage as Dracula, with the immortal bloodsucker’s titular henchman portrayed by Nicholas Hoult. The film, which promises to explore Renfield’s rather strange relationship with Dracula, has been in production for around a month now but is still adding new cast members.

It has been announced by Deadline that James Moses Black has now joined the cast in an unnamed role. Black has been an ensemble player in many films throughout his career often with supporting parts, such as in LanskyBlack And Blue and Queenpins. The veteran actor has also starred in series such as YouTube Premium’s Liza on Demand and S.O.Z.: Soldados O Zombies. Black has also recently completed work wrapped on a role in the upcoming independent feature Blackline: The Beirut Contract.

Black joins a really fun cast that includes Cage, Hoult and several other talented actors, including Adrian Martinez, Ben Schwartz, and Shohreh Aghdashloo.

The screenplay has some great credentials too, having being penned by The Walking Dead’s Robert Kirkman and Rick And Morty’s Ryan Ridley. Whilst we don’t have a full synopsis as yet, the film is being positioned, according to Collideras a story that will see Renfield as ‘someone who is sick of being manipulated by Cage’s Prince of Darkness. This all leads to him falling in love with a fiery traffic cop played by Awkwafina, giving the henchmen a newfound purpose in life.’

We’ll bring you more updates on this one as we continue to hear them.
