Jason Momoa confirms the rumours that he’ll be playing the bad guy in Fast & Furious 10, also adding that we can expect some “panache”.

We’ve known that Jason Momoa was going to be appearing in Fast & Furious 10 for a little while, but now we have confirmation that he will indeed be playing the film’s villain, as rumours had been suggesting.

The series producers originally tried to get the Aquaman actor involved with the franchise a couple of years ago when Dwayne Johnson was keen to get Momoa to play his brother in the spinoff flick, Hobbs & Shaw, but that never panned out. As it stands, Momoa won’t get to share the screen with Johnson at all, as the series stalwart has confirmed he won’t be returning for the final brace of films, with his simmering feud with star Vin Diesel ending his association with the mainline series of movies.

Momoa confirmed his role to Entertainment Tonight, stating “I’m gonna go do Fast 10, that’s gonna be fun… it’s fun, I get to play the bad guy, which I haven’t gotten to do for a while… Now I get to be the bad boy. A very flamboyant bad boy. A little panache.”

We’re looking forward to seeing Momoa do ‘flamboyant’, not to mention ‘panache’ and we’re sure that bookmakers everywhere are not slashing the odds on the actor doing a ‘turn’ and joining the heroes, as is the well-worn path for antagonist characters in this franchise.

If that is the plan, Momoa will have to be be quick about it. The series is set to end with its eleventh outing. Fast & Furious 10 is set to hit cinemas in May of next year.

Momoa will next be seen in Netflix’s Slumberland and of course as Arthur Curry in Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom which releases in December. We’ll let you know more on Fast & Furious 10 as we hear it.
